My love of working with people was really awakened while working at a small gym during college. During this time, I had the opportunity to help create a weight loss program, lead exercise classes, and develop an understanding of working with individuals with physical disabilities. After completing my undergraduate work, I worked as a Health and Fitness Coordinator at an Assisted Living community, where I lead fitness classes, cooking demonstrations, and organized wellness programs and outings for senior citizens. Next, I ventured into the area of working with youth, providing nutrition education in public schools in eastern and central Massachusetts. I spent 8 years developing nutrition lessons and leading classes for youth ranging from 2 to 20 years old, and workshops for their parents and caretakers. After completing my Master of Education in Nutrition Education, I had the opportunity to spend a semester teaching Framingham State University, teaching a course called Food, Culture, and Society and a food lab where students learned about the basics of cooking. Additionally, my professional work has included being a presenter and workshop developer, and as a Health and Wellness Coordinator for an organization in Central Massachusetts that provides services for people with mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury and complex family problems.
My renewed focus in fitness came from my personal struggles with chronic pain. Though I have always been active, I did not always have a regular workout. When daily pain left me exhausted, I decided that fitness needed to become a central part of my life. Yoga, running, kayaking, and walking are my go-to activities. My gym workouts and my OTF workouts make me feel stronger so that I can do all of those things with less pain. Working at OTF, I hope that my love of fitness comes across to the members. It is so rewarding to coach people of all fitness levels, and to be a part of their journey to reaching their fitness goals!
Hi, all! I have been with Orangetheory Fitness - Marlborough since May 2016. I decided to leave the corporate hustle and bustle for a more rewarding career within the fitness industry. Aside from being on my personal fitness journey for several years, and wanting to further immerse myself in the world of fitness, I get great satisfaction out of helping others accomplish their goals, whatever they may be. Outside of work, I enjoy (or #burn for) playing with my dog, time with my loved ones, and enjoying this wonderful life!
Former track athlete, collegiate cheerleader & national instructor, current lover of boxing, OTF workouts and yoga. I love the science of food and what it does for your body & cooking healthy recipes.
I am passionate about working at Orangetheory because I have struggled my whole life with a congenital heart defect. In my 30's, I lost my way, gaining excessive amounts of weight and living on a poor diet. After losing over 65 pounds, I now enjoy surrounding myself with likeminded individuals who take pride in eating right and building a healthy fitness regimen. Exercise helps me relieve stress, build strength and alleviate depression. It helps me to promote a healthy role model for my family & inspires me to help others in the community. Helping clients find the right program to help them achieve their fitness goals brings me true joy!
My message is for you to live fully from your glass to your heart. Fuel your vessel with goodness and inspire others to do the same. Be gracious & genuine. Make moments matter. Be thankful for your body and mind. Strive to be a stronger you every day...and above all smile from the inside out.
I have been actively involved in the fitness industry for over a decade. I have a deep passion for fitness and nutrition and love helping others reach their goals. I was first introduced to Orangetheory Fitness in Florida a few years ago and I was hooked! The relationships formed within our OTF walls are forever and rewarding. I am very fortunate to have this opportunity and look forward to burning with you!
I have always had a passion for being fit, healthy and active. At a young age, I decided I wanted to devote my time to motivating and inspiring others to get fit and healthy through exercise. I have been in the fitness industry since 1991 and I have made sure I asked anyone and everyone for help along the way to help make me a smarter trainer.
My goal is to motivate and inspire others to move and exercise so they may lead a more active and fit lifestyle. I encourage everyone to make, meet and beat their goals of fitness and wellness. I enjoy helping people to make exercise a part of their lifestyle. I want them to bring a smile to every workout as I will too! Keep Burning!
